6 Myths and 1 Truth About Homelessness in the United States

Over Christmas, Year 8 community project explored the Homelessness Project. This enabled them to have a deeper understanding of the reasons for homelessness and develop empathy for the individuals less fortunate than ourselves. Each class collated a backpack of essentials such as sleeping bags, blankets, food and toiletries and these were delivered to charities across Manchester and Stockport.

Year 7 students also donated food items to Wood Street Mission in Manchester to support families on low-incomes.

I am particularly proud of the students’ achievements to make a difference to the lives of others.
