Last week some of our Year 10 Student Leaders planned a Staff Afternoon Tea. This is something they have been planning for weeks in advance and all that hard work paid off in a wonderful evening. We had special guests including The Civic Mayor of Tameside and her consort. We would like to say a huge thank you to the Civic Mayor for attending our function, her attendance made the event extra special. All of the teachers here at Longdendale joined the event and all shared what a wonderful time they had. The evening started off with a selection of cakes and sandwiches that had been made by the students. It’s safe to say there wasn’t a cake left in sight by the end of the evening. This was then followed by a Quiz that the leaders had planned. The rounds included General Knowledge, Famous Faces and a special round dedicated to interesting facts about our staff! We were also treated to a musical performance from our Head Girl and Deputy Head girl Grace and Marshall. Finally, we had the raffle! All the staff were anxious to win one of our brilliant prizes however it was Miss Warnock who won the top prize of a restaurant voucher that had been kindly gifted to us. A huge well done to the Year 10 leaders: Charlotte, Katie, Isabella, Caitlan Halle, Ruby and many more. Also, a big thank you to our Year 11 Student Leaders who supported the Year 10s throughout the event and the planning. This was a brilliant event that we hope to continue to host each year!
