Aspiration Day
Students took part in a wide selection of activities for Aspiration day yesterday.
Year 7 took part in a murder mystery with a focus on using their literacy and problem-solving skills to solve the case! They also learnt about democracy and the court system.
Students in Year 8 focused on Science with the Pfizer Breakthrough Science programme and also got involved in a data science foundation workshop.
The GCSE options process was shared with Year 9 and they undertook careers workshops run by Findel Education in marketing, digital and merchandising, learning about apprenticeship opportunities in these areas.
Students in Year 10 discovered more about crime and punishment. They also focused on skills for their future careers including a focus on ICT, media, spreadsheets and job interview skills for the world of work.
Year 11 concentrated on subject specific projects as they continue to prepare for their GCSEs.
Years 7, 9, 10 and 11 also watched an informative performance and workshop on Child Criminal Exploitation.
