Tameside Cross Country

Twenty-four Longdendale students participated in the Tameside Schools Cross Country on Tuesday 3rd December 2024. Every single student displayed excellent effort and resilience and the group were an absolute credit to the school.

There were some outstanding individual performances with eight of our students being selected for the Tameside team to take part in the upcoming Greater Manchester Championships - these are great results considering each race held 60 to 100 runners from Tameside schools.

• Isaac (Year 7) 6th place under 12 boys

• Zac (Year 8) 2nd place under 14 boys 

• Brynna (Year 10) 13th place under 15 girls

• Lois (Year 10) 14th place under 15 girls

• Martha (Year 10) 19th place under 15 girls

• Sam (Year 10) 6th place under 15 boys

• Nathan (Year 11) 3rd place under 15 boys
